Essential skills for managing wildlife in a woodland

As part of any woodland management, it is essential to manage the wildlife to ensure both the health and survivability of new and existing plant stock as well as health of the wild populations of Deer and Squirrels.

Both species are managed as part of the overall woodland management plan. This provides us an opportunity to pass on these skills.

We actively manage all four species of deer and squirrels and we do this to the very highest standards and to recognised best practice levels and all harvested animals are processed into the food chain.

We hold both DSC1&2 qualifications. Appropriate seasons apply for deer but there are no limits on squirrels. Sessions are four hours in duration and are either AM or PM or both. Clients are required to hold their own insurance for these activities and provide proof of cover.
