About our Photographic Safaris
As you have already seen, Radley wood is a special and undisturbed place. It has seen very little human interference for the last 50 years and we are slowly and sympathetically restoring it and opening it up to support a wider diversity of plants and animals.
With areas of open rides, dense canopy cover, heavy ground cover and almost endless changes in the woodland light, there are some spectacular opportunities to get stunning photos.
For those wanting to photograph Deer (Sika, Fallow, Roe, Muntjac) and the other larger mammals (Fox, Hare), which can always be a challenge, we have trail cams on major deer paths, mobile hides and high seats to increase the chance to get ‘that’ photo. That said, wildlife is wildlife and nothing is ever certain!
Typically we time these to suit what you want to photograph. Deer is usually early morning and later afternoon early evening, but clearly plants, insect and scenery can be any time. We allocate time in three-hour slots
